Our hand selected coaches are highly qualified and experienced, USTA 10 and Under certified and trained, and background checked. In addition to the instructor’s qualifications, our coaches all share and display a passion for kids and the sport. We focus on hiring not only experienced coaches, but coaches with great personalities and abilities to connect with kids in order to make tennis a fun learning experience and hopefully a lifelong sport for them. 


Managing Team

Founder & Managing Director - Zani

Languages: English, learning Danish

Zani lives and breathes tennis. Ever since she picked up her first racket at the age of 4, she was hooked. 

She had an extensive junior tennis career - including top rankings in the state of Georgia, the South and in the nation. Zani went on to play for Division 1 Syracuse University on a full tennis scholarship and later transferred to the University of Georgia. While working in the corporate fashion world for the last 10 years, Zani enjoyed teaching kids and adults on the side at local tennis clubs how to live, learn and love the lifelong game of tennis. Not only is she Coach Z to all students, she is also a mom of 3 year old, who is already prepping for her Wimbledon 2030 debut.

 

New Jersey - Regional Manager & Head Coach - Leo

Languages: English, Spanish, and learning French

Coach Leo is a USPTA Certified Professional Coach. He grew up on the Jersey Shore - a late starter in tennis, he picked up a racquet for the first time when he was 13 and took to the sport quickly – he had found his passion, and hasn’t stopped playing since. As a 4-year varsity team member and 3-year Captain of his team, he played three years at first singles and helped bring home a division title in 2000. Leo was also an All-Shore and All-State soccer player.

In 2014, after a few years on Wall St., Leo picked up his tennis gear and hit the courts – quickly establishing a loyal clientele in the North Jersey Metro Area. Leo has since earned his certificate as a USPTA Professional Coach and has devoted himself to continuing his education in tennis and sharing it with others. As NJ’s Regional Manager, his goal is to make his city (Hoboken) and surrounding cities a hotbed for youth tennis.

NEW YORK - REGIONAL MANAGER & HEAD COACH - STEVEn

Coach Steven is a USTA 10 and Under Certified Coach. Born and raised in the Bronx, Coach Steven started playing tennis at the age of 6. Basketball was his first sport but he decided to stick with tennis.

He is finished his bachelor's degree in business management and enjoyed a stellar playing career at Wilkes University in Pennsylvania. As a member and captain of the tennis team he won Rookie of the Year, First team all conference all four years and a two-time Player of the Year.

He has been teaching tennis for five years and loves the thought of putting a racquet in a child's hand to give them the same opportunity tennis has provided him in his life.

NEW JERSEY - MANAGER & COACH - JOY ANN

CPR Certified

Born and raised in Jersey City, NJ, Joy first found her love for tennis during her sophomore year of high school. She played varsity first doubles for Ferris High School in her junior and senior year. In 2012, Joy and her first doubles partner were named in the All Hudson County Tennis Team.

She is currently enrolled at Kean University and majoring in Psychology in the Occupational Therapy Track.

Coaches - NEW YORK

COACH - MATTEO

Languages: Italian, Spanish, English

Born in Italy and moving to the states at a young age, Matteo found a passion for tennis in middle school and continued pursuing his passion throughout high school. As a freshman he earned a starting spot on his Varsity Tennis team, eventually earning the title of Captain. At 16, Matteo's passion went from playing to coaching and so, he became involved in coaching in local tennis clubs. He earned a 10&Under PRT certification and has since taught all ages and skill levels, including becoming his High School's Varsity Coach upon graduation. Now an undergraduate at John Jay College and a member of the Army ROTC program, Matteo is excited to return to doing what he loves and coaching children in the greatest city in the world.

In Spring 2016, Matteo was awarded the opportunity to study abroad in Amman, Jordan.  In Fall 2016, he experienced local culture, attended a local university and improved his Arabic skills in Jordan. He is now entering his final semester at John Jay College and continues studying Arabic hoping to one day return to not only Amman but also the region.

COACH - MICHAEL

Languages: English 

Originally from Salt Lake City, Utah, Michael has been playing tennis ever since he just couldn’t cut it as a little league baseball player. After playing competitive tennis for many years in the Intermountain Region, where he was a high-ranking player, Michael started teaching children in the area. He loves the opportunity to share the game with kids, hoping that they may fall in love with the sport just as he did at a young age. Michael received an Honors BFA in Acting from the University of Utah while on a full ride scholarship. He now lives in New York where he plays the drums in a Brooklyn based folk-pop group.

COACH - FLETCHER

Languages: English 

Fletcher was born in Maine. He first fell in love with tennis when his family first moved to New York and his father took him to the U.S Open at the age of 10. Ever since then, his passion for tennis grew as he continued to play the sport all throughout high school and college. Fletcher always participated in summer camps and tennis camps and credits these institutions as one of the reasons he loved the sport so much. This has led to his desire to continue the cycle and to give back the love and passion he shares for tennis to others.

COACH - TAMILA

Languages: English and Russian

Tamila has been playing tennis since the age of three, starting off playing hours against the wall. She came to America when she was eight years old where she further pursued her tennis career. She was selected to the City Parks tennis program which gave her an opportunity to train for free as her parents couldn’t afford tennis lessons. During her junior tennis career she competed and won many USTA tournaments. In 2012 she received the David Dinkins award and was conducted into Eastern Junior Tennis Hall of Fame. She has also received the New York City Council Award and scholarships to train at the Chris Evert and IMG tennis academy in Florida. Her most honorable achievement is the Billie Jean King award because it was awarded by the legendary Billie Jean King herself. When she graduated High School she began her coaching career teaching throughout the city, working at the US Open and in the Hamptons in the summer. She is pursuing her studies in Physical Therapy and plans to continue to play and teach the game she has known her whole life to others.

COACH - CARLO

Languages: English and Italian

Carlo grew up in Italy where he started learning and playing tennis at the age of 8 years old. Carlo competed in local ITF tournaments until the age of 15 years. Carlo is PTR certified professional and 10&Under certified as well as certified for kids 11 - 17 years. Carlo has been a full-time tennis instructor since 2012.


Coaches - NEW JERSEY

COACH - VICTOR

Languages: English
CPR Certified

Victor discovered his love for tennis at the age of 10 at the Santa Cruz Tennis Academy, Bolivia. After moving to the United States, Victor played four years of varsity tennis at McNair Academic and then Roselle Park High School, where he was co-captain for his junior/senior year holding the position of second singles. 

Attending Kean University, Victor is enrolled in a five-year Masters program for Molecular Biology & Biotechnology with minors in Mathematics and Chemistry with an intent of pursuing a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics. Outside of academics, Victor is also petitioning to form a men's tennis team at Kean University and coaches tennis for both high school and middle school students.

COACH - IVY

Languages: English

Ivy started playing tennis at the age of 10 at her local clinic. Her love for the sport encouraged her to play competitively during her high school years. She made varsity first doubles in her junior year. By her senior year, Ivy was captain of her high school’s girls varsity team, playing third singles. Ivy is currently attending Montclair State University, completing her bachelor’s degree in Linguistics with a minor in Communication Sciences and Disorders.

Ivy is beyond thrilled to share her passion with young players, in hopes they love tennis just as much as she does.

COACH - DHARA

Languages: English, Gujarat

Dhara has been actively playing tennis since middle school, attending clinics since a young age. While in high school, she discovered that she had a passion for not only playing tennis, but also teaching other people tennis. This led to her pursing a job with Hudson County Parks and Recreation as a tennis counselor. Through this opportunity she learned about critical skills that go hand in hand with teaching youth tennis.

Currently, she attends Rutgers University and is majoring in Exercise Science. She's studying to become a physical therapist as sports injuries and tennis go hand in hand. She hopes to continue to inspire young children to discover the sport of tennis.

COACH - NILAY

Languages: English, Gujarat

Born in Secaucus and raised in Jersey City, Nilay started playing tennis when he was 13 years old and has played since. Playing four years of varsity tennis at his high school, McNair Academic, Nilay was captain for his senior year and played second doubles while also playing on the varsity bowling team. 

Currently in Rutgers University, Nilay is striving for a double major in Biomedical Engineering and Genetics with intent in pursuing Med School after he finishes his undergrad studies.


Coaches - FLORIDA

FLORIDA - HEAD COACH - LAURENCE

Languages: English

Originally from Queens NY, Laurence has over 25 years of tennis playing experience and competed at the regional, sectional, and national junior level. Laurence has over 15 years of coaching experience, working with juniors and adults of all levels. Having taught tennis is New York and Miami, Laurence has worked at several prestigious clubs including, The John McEnroe tennis academy at Sportime Randalls Island, The National Tennis Center in Flushing New York, GSI Bolletieri in Miami, and Fisher Island Tennis center in Miami. Laurence specializes in developing 10 and under players and is USTA certified in 10 and Under tennis.

COACH - ALAIN

Languages: English

A graduate from St. Thomas University and former Captain of the tennis team, Alain has played NCAA for his school and ITF tournaments for Haiti and faired very well.  A native of Haiti Alain has been playing tennis since he was 10 years old.  With a growing passion for teaching nd helping grow the game of tennis, Alain enjoys teaching especially to the 10 and under group and hopes to continue his career as a tennis coach running his own academy.

COACH - SANTIAGO

Languages: English

A native of Miami, Santiago started playing tennis at the age of 3 and has achieved junior success at the regional and national level.  A former top nationally ranked player in the 12’s, 14’s, and 16’s.  Santiago has previously taught at the Ocean Club in Key Biscayne and is a very recognizable player in the Miami area.  Santiago also has a passion for teaching the game to juniors and is very versed in Quickstart Tennis and loves to have fun and incorporate games with traditional learning.
